Christmas Never Been So Dark

What is interesting about today? Today PPIT Harbin celebrated Christmas day. Where all of the Indonesian people in Harbin gather at 留学生中心楼(International Student Center) rooms 512 to celebrate Christmas together. Events started at 2 in the afternoon, starting with an opening from our lovely Yasmin Putri. Like always also an opening speech from our PPIT Harbin President Indra Putra.

 

After this amazing speech. We collect our present that we have brought which has a minimal value of 10RMB, wrapped in newspaper. We give a number to each present. Then we started to do lotteries. One by one our number was called and receive a present according to our number.

 

Then Hansen gave a presentation about charity programs. We will be given a black bottle for each of us. Then we fill these bottles with coin and each month we will submit it. All the collected money will be given to help poor children in Indonesia. The following presentation is from Joshua. He’s giving a presentation about how to ski, because the following day, after this Christmas we will have and sport activity together at Maoer Mountain. He also played some video tutorials on the basics of skis.

 

Also, there is some amazing movie at this Christmas party. Movie directed by Albert and produced by  Febrian. The movie is called “Christmas never been so dark” with Bill as the main character. The movie is about Bill that is a really bad and poor boy. One day he encountered something called “the white light” who change his life 180degree. the amazing part of this movie is no sound. This movie is a silent movie, so you don’t need to be Indonesian to understand, with an exception you are not blind.

 

Next are games from Nanda. The game was simple but really fun. All of the people were divided into four groups. Then each party leader must draw something and pass it to the next person. It was quite hard because mostly at the third people the picture really ugly and hard to read.

 

This event was also celebrated with live music from Hauwson Jonker. Lots of music themes were sung such as Santa Buddy and Feliz Navidad, After their performance, of course, huge applause from us. We were so grateful because we have a good singer and guitar player such as them.

 

After all this fun, we would like to say goodbye to ANNE KRISTANTI and GADIS because this event exists to celebrate their last moment in Harbin. Hope all of you have a bright future, wherever you go. Always remember that you will always be in our heart
